Well we made it home. I wish we could have posted more but there was such little access to the internet. I will be making a montage of the video and pictures we got and posting it on the beetdigger's facebook page, technology willing.

We are here!
A few days in the rainforest with no internet, phones, TV....but we are now at Bella Vista with a very very slow dial up connection. All in all, the kids are doing great....eating well, drinking well and no illness. They are a little tired today but we have an easy day ahead. Sorry no pictures or videos but the internet connection just won´t support that kind of data. We have already seen so much it is overwhelming. Hopefully nce we get to the coast we will be able to post more for you to see. For now, goodbye and hope to post soon!

Buenos Dias!
Good Morning on Day 2! Today we transfer to Casa Del Suizo but we will first visit some hot springs in the rain forest! Jake has been anticipating "bushwacking" in the rain forest and I think we all join him in his enthusiasm in seeing some nature and wildlife. We have enjoyed he city but are ready to get down with Ecuadorian nature!

Day One
What a crazy, exciting and unbelievable day. First off, we are having problems with the internet and posting pictures...we will try again tonight but no promises.
The trip started by us getting upgraded to a FANCY hotel. We are staying at the Le Parc hotel which is amazing and beautiful. Thank goodness for conferences that book out the Sheraton. For all you parents, the number here is 593 2 227 6800.
Our guide, Chris, took us to the Pichincha volcano at 13,500 feet and finished the day by showing us the amazing churches and squares of Quito. They were all so amazing and it was so unbelievable to see Catholic, French, Muslim and indigenous influences in each. There was one that is thought to have 7 TONS of gold decorating the inside. We had a fabulous lunch outside of San Francisco Church where Chris surprised Ayla with a birthday cake and gift! They day finished up early and we are all resting up for a fantastic dinner here at the hotel.
Again, we will try to post pictures and video soon! Everyone is alive, well, learning and seeing so much! With love, from Ecuador!

As a wonderful last minute opportunity, we are being set up to donate school supplies to the Ayampe School on the 21st. This is a great opportunity for our Brush students to reach out to other students in need. We will be donating everything from paper and pencils to sports equipment to first aide supplies. It is exciting knowing that our little group will be making an impact worlds away!

Getting Ready...
It is not yet June, but the preparations for the big trip are well under way. We are all very excited for the adventure of a lifetime. Although it seems right now, it cannot come soon enough, I know once we get there it will go by all too fast.
